Come together: over 800 exhibitors signed up for Eurobike 2021

More than 800 exhibitors have reportedly signed up for the 29th edition of Eurobike 2021, the leading bike trade show, which is scheduled to run from September 1-4, in Friedrichshafen, Germany.

According to the Eurobike team… ‘Irrespective of the currently still pending political framework for holding trade shows, there is high interest in the international bike industry for Eurobike 2021.’

“We are delighted to see that the industry’s most important manufacturers and suppliers are all on board for Eurobike 2021 in this unusual year,” said Messe Friedrichshafen CEO, Klaus Wellmann.

“The call for a physical platform to meet and exchange information and ideas is growing. Our event concept is ready to offer the best of both worlds for B2B and B2C.”

New for 2021: in addition to specialist trade and industry visitors, for the first time Eurobike is rolling out two Festival Days – on Friday and Saturday – for all bike fans to attend.

September 2021 sees Eurobike looking to celebrate its comeback. After many months, where interaction within the international bike industry was mainly restricted to digital channels… ‘the established physical get together is moving closer and gathering momentum.’

“The need within the industry to be at the ‘class reunion’ is bigger than ever,” said Head of Eurobike, Stefan Reisinger. “Everyone is eager for personal dialogue, wants to see the product highlights, talk about the challenges and enjoy the community spirit.

“Of course, at the moment there is still some uncertainty, but at the same time, there is big interest to be there. We are meeting the challenges and offering maximum flexibility, transparency and openness for all interested parties. Registration for Eurobike 2021 is still open and we’re offering a wide range of participation formats.”

The Eurobike 2021 will look to address industry issues for the initial two B2B days (September 1-2). This will include addressing questions such as ‘where next after corona?’, and how to deal with the massive increase in demand, managing supply issues and also the political situation.

A release from Eurobike noted… ‘It’s about presenting a united front and a strong voice for bikes, the bicycle industry and bike retailers – and questioning the traditional automobile orthodoxy. Bike mobility is becoming a sustainable force in countless industries. Working together with bicycle industry associations, Eurobike is the perfect stage to further improve the conditions for cycling – with its timing shortly before Germany’s parliamentary elections.’

The exhibition halls at Lake Constance in Friedrichshafen, Germany, will be hosting international exhibitor stands and offering the following theme areas:

  • Cargo bikes
  • E-mobility solutions; and
  • Start-ups and influencers.

Meanwhile the Eurobike Awards are being extended to include the new categories Road & Performance, E-Cycling and Gravel & Adventure. There will be discussion forums for trade and industry at the Eurobike Academy, Eurobike Travel Talk and Eurobike Networking Dinner and the Bike Biz Revolution Conference the day before the show, on August 31, 2021.

There will be consumer day on Friday, September 3; while on Saturday, September 4, the public day takes place with… ‘festival flair, events, races, bike holiday travel offers and test and ride arenas.’

“Eurobike 2021 offers a common industry platform for sharing and exchanging ideas, brand and product presentation both inside and outside the industry, as a vehicle for cycling to deliver political messages, and for end consumers – enthusiasts, fans, young riders and future users,” said Eurobike project manager Dirk Heidrich.

“This is the platform that everybody wants and we can deliver it in Friedrichshafen.”
