Garmin gears up with SLT Arena Games Powered by Zwift

Garmin has partnered with Super League Triathlon for the upcoming SLT Arena Games Powered by Zwift.

‘The partnership will see Garmin’s ecosystem seamlessly integrated into triathlon’s most innovative race format to further enhance the events in London on March 27 and Rotterdam on April 18.’

Garmin’s products will be utilised to help deliver the real-world-meets-virtual events in London and Rotterdam. Super League adds that the events will be.. ‘backed up by accurate and in-depth data that will make the SLT Arena Games even more immersive for viewers.’

Garmin will be at the heart of race day, beginning with the moment the athletes first visit the venue and take to the Index S2 Smart Scale, which will be used to weigh the athletes before the race. This will help to ensure the correct data is given to Zwift for a fair race with watts per kg a key factor for the bike.

The bike legs themselves will utilise the Tacx Neo 2T, which is noted as… ‘the most accurate and silent smart trainer available, which promises an unprecedented indoor cycling experience and gives the world’s best triathletes competing at the SLT Arena Games the best platform to shine.’

In addition, the athletes will wear the Garmin Forerunner 945 and HRM Pro. The premium running watch and heart rate strap will allow athlete performance data to be captured across swim, bike and run. This will be delivered to the athletes to analyse their performance and also for fans to understand the ‘efforts of their heroes’.
