On a mission to support the next generation of champion athletes, Kú Cycle has signed multi-year sponsor partnerships with three young athletes. The Dutch bike company has confirmed it is supporting duathlete Daan de Groot, and triathletes Stella Kubasch and Marlene de Boer.
Kú is providing all three athletes with the latest Kú TF1 bike. It is also offering its bike fitting expertise led by Kú authorised fitters and… ‘a commitment to supporting them in achieving their respective goals. In the process, Kú hopes to support the development of the next generation of champions.’
Daan de Groot
This Dutch athlete was a bronze medallist at the 2019 ITU Long Distance Duathlon World Championship and was 2019 European Middle Distance Duathlon Champion.
He is targeting world titles at the middle-distance duathlon (10km-60km-10km) and long-distance duathlon (10km-150km-30km)
Commenting on Kú Cycle, de Groot said “The focus on athlete performance that Kú implements in their product, their production process and throughout their communication, is something that appeals to me.”
Stella Kubasch
This German athlete living and training in the Netherlands hopes to build a professional triathlon career having started as an age-group athlete at the 2021 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships.
Marlene de Boer
This Dutch athlete currently has a day job, as she is not a professional athlete yet. On her new journey to become a professional triathlete, in early 2021 she appointed Dutch triathlon legend Yvonne van Vlerken as her coach. With her support team now complete, she hopes to start her first full iron distance event in 2021.
