Starting this Sunday, the global cycling community is invited to compete virtually on the ‘official, real-life race courses of the 2021 Vuelta a España, just like the pros.’
Following the announcement of its multi-year partnership with La Vuelta – presenting La Vuelta Virtual, ROUVY is now releasing what is being billed as ‘an immersive five-stage digital version of the 2021 edition of the Spanish Grand Tour, for everyone to join from home.’
The events will run between August 2021 and April 2022. Available in three different time zones, the series provide events alongside the pros, as well as a general classification and prizes from series sponsors: ELITE Cycling, Santini and ŠKODA We Love Cycling.

The stages are running the same day as the pros riding it in the morning. Across three different time zones, Asia, Europe and USA, the respective races start at 20:00 JST / 19:00 CEST / 18:00 PST.
The competition is open to anyone. Athletes of all levels are welcome to join. There is a mass start for all riders. Each day is an individual stand-alone single race, with the overall series general classification and individual standings based on points. Bike selection and drafting are available via ROUVY’s virtual platform
Prizes will be presented by ELITE Cycling, Santini and ŠKODA WeLoveCycling. Prize winners will be selected in random draws; so every participant of the virtual tour races has a chance to win.
Cyclists wishing to participate in the La Vuelta series must have a smart trainer, a bike, and a device capable of using ROUVY, such as a phone, tablet, computer or AppleTV, connected to the Internet. A valid ROUVY account is also required, and new riders are offered a14-day free trial to be part of the action.
