Traditionally known for cycling apparel, and accommodating sizing for larger riders, Fat Lad At The Back has unveiled a new plus size triathlon suit. The new product offering comes amidst a long-awaited return to racing, following the disarray caused by Covid-19.
In a release, the company notes… ‘There’s a disbelief in people’s eyes when they hear that those with a 58” chest are in the market for a triathlon suit – but it’s a much bigger audience than you think. There are triathletes of every size out there, and many of the Fat Lad At The Back community are avid triathletes eagerly waiting to get back to it.’
The brand known for creating ‘top quality cycle wear for every body, especially larger cyclists’ put its existing triathlon loving customers to a wearer trial to develop the new triathlon suit during lockdown 2020.
With an RRP from £79.99, the suit for the 2021 tri season has a new and improved design, made from a sports Lycra fabric featuring a lightweight triathlon pad, silicone hems to keep legs in place, and a front zip providing some extra ventilation when needed.
‘It also means you don’t have to be Harry Houdini to get in and out of it. The suit comes in men’s size 44” to 58” chest and women’s 42” to 50” bust and is guaranteed durability.’
