Zone3 unveils 2021 wetsuit range

Zone3 has unveiled its wetsuits for 2021, noting that ‘each style has been refined and improved over the last ten years.’

Updated for 2021 the Vision, Advance and Agile wetsuits have been improved to be ‘tougher and more adaptable’. Meanwhile, the new Aspect ‘breaststroke’ suit provides those who prefer not to swim front crawl the option to comfortably swim in a wetsuit.

Vision £295 / €349
The Vision is a mid-level wetsuit but at an entry-level price point.

  • New Yamamoto #39 SCS Free-Flex shoulder panel for a comfortable and energy-efficient swim.
  • B.R.E: Body Rotation Enhancement panel on the front chest helps maximise distance per stroke and body roll during the swim.
  • 14% weight reduction versus 2020 model despite offering more buoyancy.
  • Features Aerodome, which is a unique material designed with air bubbles built between the fabric layers to make it lighter and more buoyant, producing up to 30% more buoyancy than conventional neoprene.
  • Combination of SCS or AQUA-X coatings to reduce drag and improve durability.
  • ‘Eco-friendly neoprene’ is derived from naturally occurring limestone and utilizes scrap rubber tyres as part of the production process to significantly reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

Advance £199 / €249
The Advance is value suit for open water swimmers or triathletes looking for a performance entry-level wetsuit.

  • New 1.5mm Yamamoto #39 SCS Free-Flex shoulder panel design provides flexibility, comfort and efficiency.
  • 16% weight reduction versus the 2020 model whilst still maintaining the same levels of buoyancy and warmth.
  • No nylon panels or external flatlock stitching to prevent water entry and improve speed and comfort.
  • AQUA-X coatings used to minimise drag and increase speed through the water.
  • Smoothskin fabric used to prevent water from permeating the suit and weighing it down.
  • 4mm core support buoyancy panels on the upper legs help to keep the legs towards the surface of the water and therefore reducing drag and fatigue.
  • ‘Eco-friendly neoprene’ is derived from naturally occurring limestone and utilizes scrap rubber tyres as part of the production process.

Agile £169 / €199
Following the limited-edition Valour wetsuit in 2020, the Agile launches in 2021 to help service demand for ‘high-quality, entry-level open water swimming wetsuits.’

  • 2mm Flex-Fit shoulder panels improve range of motion to help conserve energy and reduce fatigue.
  • Core support buoyancy panels on the upper legs help to keep the legs towards the surface of the water and therefore reducing drag and saving energy.
  • 100% Speedflo and Smoothskin coating for waterproofing and minimal drag.
  • Fully glued and blind stitched for increased comfort and warmth.
  • New Talon Resistant coating applied to the front leg to help improve durability and reduce accidental fingernail tears.
  • YKK Zipper on the back of the suit with a cord attached for ease of use.
  • ‘Eco-friendly neoprene’ derived from limestone and scrap rubber tyres reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

Aspect £159 / €189
The new Zone3 Aspect wetsuit has been developed in response to swimmers searching for a wetsuit in which they can swim breaststroke as well as front crawl. Zone3 claims that many wetsuits on the market are only designed for surface swimming and don’t allow for the lateral leg movement required for the breaststroke technique.

  • Specifically designed for breaststroke swimming.
  • Offering warmth, comfort and flexibility.
  • High-stretch inner leg panels for breaststroke leg kick.
  • Reduced lower leg buoyancy allows legs to stay submerged.
  • A mixture of SCS, Smoothskin and high-stretch nylon panels reduce drag.
  • Neon orange arm cuffs for visibility.
  • Easy to use downward YKK zipper.
