Newly launched Outsiders Network is positioned as a new way to connect clients with outdoor talent. Working with ‘vetted outdoor talent that truly represents the outdoors’, the new platform aims to shine a light on the diverse ethnicities, gender identities, and adaptive abilities that are currently underrepresented in the media.
‘Founded by Holly Fraser, producer of outdoor asset captures, along with Danielle Kristmanson and MJ Legault, founders of the outdoor creative agency Origin, the network provides a platform that connects passionate outsiders with those who seek them.’
With offices in Montreal and Whistler, Canada, as well as a US subsidiary based in Vermont, Origin is an outdoor-focused, digital content and marketing agency. Founded more than 20 years ago, the agency has worked with outdoor brands such as Whistler Blackcomb, L.L.Bean, lululemon, Smartwool, Bass Outdoor, Taiga Motors, and more.
The online talent marketplace is home to individuals based across diverse geographic areas where outdoor shoots occur. It’s posionted as a convenient way for brands and media to source talent for outdoor focused media productions.
Process
- Search for talent (folks from all backgrounds, abilities, and identities)
- Shortlist talent and share with other decision makers
- Select (and hire) final talent
‘To celebrate the launch, registered clients will receive an upgrade to Executive Service – meaning Outsiders Network will work with clients to provide shortlists of talent that match their project criteria – for the next two months for the cost of a regular self-serve plan.’
The Outsiders Network will be directing 1% of its profits from each quarter to a charitable organization that supports diversity, accessibility and sustainability in the outdoors.
