RCS Sport and IMG have renewed for a further five years the agreement that designated IMG as the exclusive advisor for the international distribution of media rights for the Giro d’Italia and all other races in the RCS Sport package.
The five-year agreement includes every race organized by RCS Sport: the Giro d’Italia, UAE Tour, Strade Bianche, Strade Bianche Women Elite, Tirreno-Adriatico, Milano-Sanremo, Il Giro di Sicilia, Milano–Torino, Gran Piemonte and Il Lombardia.
The partnership, which first began in 2013, has enabled the Corsa Rosa to increase its international visibility in recent years by broadcasting in 200 countries across five continents. The new agreement will continue until the end of 2025.
Paolo Bellino, CEO and General Manager of RCS Sport, said “We wanted to give continuity to the great work done in recent years by renewing the collaboration with a partner of great international caliber such as IMG.
“IMG has enhanced all our races, starting from Giro d’Italia, distributing the television rights across five continents. We are convinced that our partnership with IMG will give us a strong platform over the next five years to continue our growth, further expand our horizons and enhance all our events.”
Adam Kelly, Co-President of Media and Events at IMG, said “Our long-standing relationship with RCS remains a key part of our media business and we are delighted to have extended for another five years.
“The Giro d’Italia, as one of the three Grand Tours, is one of the most iconic and eagerly-anticipated events on the cycling calendar providing three weeks of daily drama and outstanding sporting prowess against the backdrop of Italy’s stunning vistas.”
