At this year’s Strade Bianche, which took place on Saturday, March 6, Selle Italia showcased the Pro Team version of the Flite Boost saddle – the new Flite Boost Pro Team Kit Carbonio Superflow.
The Italian saddle specialist notes that the new saddle includes: a carbon rail with a 10mm increase in length, hard-wearing Fibra-Tek cover material, and with Superflow’s lightness and cut-out. It is billed as a saddle chosen by professionals, now also available for amateurs.
Many athletes ride with Flite Boost. Selle Italia cites Mathieu Van der Poel, who chooses the saddle for his cyclo-cross bike, with which he won several world titles, as well as for his road bike, winning the 2020 Tour of Flanders.
At Strade Bianche 2021, Van der Poel (Alpecin-Fenix) secured victory in the men’s race, giving a further boost to Selle Italia and its new saddle launch.
The Flite Boost Pro Team Kit Carbonio Superflow has a short, compact shape and the classic T form shape that has always characterised every Flite model. The Made in Italy saddle has a flat seat and a shell made in a nylon and carbon composite. The cover done entirely by hand. The carbon rail is 10mm longer, allowing for greater adjustment possibilities.
The light saddle is 165g in the S3 version and 170g in the L3 version. The new saddle also features a special graphic – red on the edges of the saddle and glossy black on the nose – for a ‘distinctive design with a racing attitude’.
