The Abbott Spotlight on Health 6km (3.7 miles) is taking place this September. All those who successfully complete the race will be entered into a prize draw – with one lucky winner getting to complete the six Abbott World Marathon Majors.
The race is a virtual competition on the AbbottWMM Global Run Club. This hosts a variety of challenges and races over varying distances each month to provide a community and motivation for runners around the world.
Giving some background to the Spotlight on Health 6km event, Abbott stated… ‘Whether they’re still trying to make their first Major start line or just one run away from the coveted Six Star medal, by completing the 6km distance in one continuous run or walk between September 13-19, runners have the opportunity to achieve their dream.’
The winner will have from 2023 to 2025 to complete their Abbott World Marathon Majors journey. Once complete the winner will receive a Six Star finishers medal, an accolade which 6,600 runners have achieved globally to date.
The Abbott World Marathon Majors consists of the Tokyo Marathon, Boston Marathon, Virgin Money London Marathon, BMW-BERLIN Marathon, Bank of America Chicago Marathon and the TCS New York City Marathon.
