Unleashed Performance has been announced as the new headline sponsor of the 2021 Reading Half Marathon. The popular UK event is set to take place on Sunday 7th November with more than 13,000 runners expected on the start line.
A new premium sports nutrition, activewear and gym brand – established in Reading – Unleashed Performance is embarking on what is planned to be a longstanding partnership with the local community.
A spokesperson from Unleashed Performance said “We’re incredibly excited and proud to be associated with the Reading Half Marathon. Unleashed Performance was born in Reading and we couldn’t be happier to give back through an icon of community life, in a way that truly resonates with our values.”
Reading Half Marathon Race Director Judith Manson said “We are so excited to welcome Unleashed Performance to the Reading Half Marathon family and to share with them the world-renowned event we have created over the past 39 years.
“The last 18 months have been incredibly tough but we find strength by supporting each other, local communities, and local businesses. With our new partner we look to the future – returning to the magic of race day with our loyal community of runners, fundraisers, charities, athletes, volunteers, and key workers.”
She added, “Unleashed Performance will be with us in force, with 75 of their runners lacing up. We wish them the best of luck for race day and look forward to presenting them with their well-earned medals at the finish line.”
The 2021 half marathon route takes in Reading town centre and the surrounding countryside – with a finish inside Madejski Stadium, home of Reading FC.
