Mixed relay teams consist of four athletes — two females, two males — with each athlete completing a super sprint distance triathlon (250m swim, 5km bike, 1.2km run) in the order of female-male-female-male.

The first-ever Gravel National Championships will be held on June 3 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, joining a growing trend of gravel-related events springing up around the United States. Gravel and mountain-biking haven, Fayetteville, will also host the Off-Road National Championships on June 4. Both events will be held in conjunction with the Ozark Valley Triathlon.

The varsity Women’s Collegiate Triathlon National Championships will again be held in Tempe, Arizona – with the exact date to be announced at a later date. Dates and locations for all 2022 USA Triathlon State Championships will be announced on November 23.
