With athletes hailing from 80 countries, regions and territories converging in the Greater Zion region of Utah, Saturday, May 7 saw the postponed 2021 Intermountain Healthcare IRONMAN World Championship presented by Utah Sports Commission get under way.
After a much anticipated two-year-plus wait, race day started with over 2,800 athletes beginning their 140.6 mile day, with the 2.4-mile swim in Sand Hollow State Park Reservoir.
