Southern California’s Coachella Valley will host the 2022 Trainual IRONMAN 70.3 Indian Wells-La Quinta triathlon on Sunday, December 4th.
With over 2,500 registered participants from 31 countries and 48 US states, the event will also play host to the North American TriClub Championship – Southwest.
A number of elite triathletes including Lionel Sanders, Sam Long, Paula Findlay and Danielle Lewis among others will compete for a total pro prize purse of US$50,000. Live event coverage of the event will be broadcast on Outside TV.
The 2022 IRONMAN 70.3 Indian Wells-La Quinta will offer 75 qualifying slots to the 2023 VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Lahti, Finland.
Athletes take on a 1.2-mile swim down Lake Cahuilla, a 56-mile flat and fast bike through the city of La Quinta and the Thermal raceway, and a 13.1-mile two loop run through the Indian Wells Golf Resort culminating in a finish in the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens.
