Chamois Butt’r has announced the launch of Ultra balm, a new anti-chafe balm. According to the chamois cream manufacturer the new product offering is… ‘made for the most demanding conditions and the most extreme athletic endeavours, whether they be measured by distance, time, weather, humidity or whatever a rider, runner or athlete may encounter.’
Chamois Butt’r Ultra balm is a premium, natural oil and beeswax-based balm for use on all skin areas. While the balm can be used everyday, it’s made to protect athletes’ skin on the most demanding rides, runs and chafing situations (in extreme distances, time between applications, or weather conditions such rain or high humidity).
‘Ultra balm stays on all day and will not sweat off as easily as water-based creams. One application will last all day, allowing riders to ride farther and without the need to reapply.’

The Chamois Butt’r team notes that Ultra is a balm, and differs by consistency, temperature stability, amount needed and usage instruction from its well known creams. Due to this, Chamois Butt’r recommends using a finger to push out a dime-sized amount for an initial application, before adding as needed.
Chamois Butt’r Ultra should be stored at room temperature and will solidify below 65°F (18°C). Even as a solid, the balm warms up quickly with the heat from the user’s skin and returns to a spreadable state easily.
Chamois Butt’r adds that its creams and balms are made without harsh chemicals, parabens, phthalates, petrolatum, or gluten, and are never tested on animals. Ultra balm’s packaging is recyclable and can be reused. All Chamois Butt’r products are made in the USA.
