New circuit-based fitness concept Circuit Society is launching its flagship studio in Camden, London, UK, that it claims will help to redefine the boutique fitness industry.
The company’s mission is to create a new category of boutique fitness studios – the ‘microstudio’ – aiming to bring high-quality studio fitness to underserved neighbourhoods all over the UK.
Adapting to new, post-COVID work practices and the reality that working from home, for at least part of the working week, is here to stay, the business model focuses on providing convenience to local communities.
For a monthly membership fee of £20, members can save up to 40% on class packages and benefit from advanced booking, unlimited on-demand class access and discounts on in-studio retail. Walk-in class packages are also available, with a single class costing £22.
A release from the company noted that it is offering… ‘High quality programming, closer to where you live and work and smaller class sizes to foster a better sense of community and duty of care for you when you’re in class. Think smaller class sizes, with a community vibe, right on your doorstep! It’s fun, functional, fitness.’
No two workouts are the same at Circuit Society. During each 45-minute class, participants rotate through six stations, for six minutes on each (30-45 seconds each round with short recoveries), designed to help build strength and endurance with a mix of 50% cardio (using Airbikes, Ski-Ergs and self powered treadmills) and 50% HIRT – High Intensity Resistance Training (using dumbbells, kettlebells, TRX and more).
All workouts are programmed to provide a challenging workout for all abilities, focusing on technique. The company claims up to an 80% lower impact on the body than similar group fitness classes.
Post-workout, participants can enjoy onsite amenities including: complementary towels, showering facilities, hair dryers, straighteners and beauty products all before refuelling at the Circuit Society shake bar, powered by NUA Health.
