The final round of the Giro d’Italia Virtual hosted by BKOOL features eight Giro stages with real video content. More than 100 raffle prizes are on offer for participants of the virtual cycling event.
The Virtual Giro d’Italia hosted by BKOOL is reaching its final round to coincide with the Giro d’Italia 2022 celebration. From May 6th to July 10th, any cyclist anywhere in the world can participate in the last round of stages of the official virtual edition of the Giro d’Italia, organized by BKOOL and RCS Sport.
Registration is open through the event website – www.girovirtual.com – which in previous rounds brought together cyclists from more than 40 countries.
BKOOL and RCS have made a selection of stages that includes some of the most epic and spectacular routes of the Corsa Rosa.
Each stage has been created by BKOOL using actual video recordings of the last edition of the Giro d’Italia, complemented by the introduction of different 3D elements to generate a new, more immersive and realistic simulation.
The first of the stages is the urban prelude route in Torino, which is open to the public so that any fan can try out its simulation experience for 30 days free.

- Milano TISSOT: 25 km / 13 m+
As in the two previous rounds, all participants in the final round, the Grande Arrivo, will earn points as they complete their stages. Once the event is over, these points will count towards a grand final raffle, where more than 100 gifts will be awarded.
An extensive list of prizes includes hospitality and accommodation packages at Il Lombardia, watches from Tissot, registrations for RCS Grandes Fondo races, shoes, helmets, cycling sunglasses, Premium BKOOL subscriptions, and more.
In previous rounds, participants could share the virtual road with Alberto Contador, Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl pros, Chris Froome, Óscar Freire and Sergio Higuita. Chris Froome has already confirmed that he will repeat his participation at the Grande Arrivo, and members of the EOLO Kometa team (who will be competing in the real edition of the Giro d’Italia 2022) have also committed to participate.
RCS and BKOOL will be bringing their virtual experience to all the real-world stages held in Italy during the Giro d’Italia 2022. BKOOL will set up and manage a special virtual riding area, equipped with bikes and smart trainers so that visitors can experience the Giro d’Italia Virtual hosted by BKOOL for themselves.
Meanwhile, BKOOL will also be recording the stages that will make up next year’s edition of the Giro d’Italia Virtual hosted by BKOOL.
