To celebrate the solstice this coming holiday season, Hammerhead is calling all riders to get out and ride by creating their own Hammerhead Solstice Strava group challenge.
The company behind the Karoo 2 cycling computer adds that riders who participate will be eligible to win a Karoo 2 bundle complete with a solstice limited run shell for the device.
To make sharing and community rides easier to organize, Hammerhead has partnered with Komoot to build a ride collection on the mapping platform. Here, anyone who is participating in the Strava challenge can upload and share a route, or download one they like the look of.
Hammerhead will also host a number of Zwift Solstice community rides to promote and celebrate the solstice season. The first ride will take place on November 16th.
To have a chance to win, riders must complete their own Strava group challenge between November 14th and December 21st. All individual challenge leaders and participants will then be compiled, and one grand prize winner will be chosen to get a full holiday bundle, including a Karoo 2 and Solstice shell.
Hammerhead will also pick five social posts tagged with @HammerheadRides and the #HammerheadSOLSTICE hashtag to receive a swag bag, including a Solstice shell.
Hammerhead ambassadors and pro team riders including Flora Duffy and Maghalie Rochette, as well as members from L39ION of LA and Israel Premier Tech, will join in by making their own challenges, sharing routes and joining Zwift community rides.
