A big weekend of racing took place at the 2022 World Triathlon Championship Series Montreal on June 24-26. The weekend saw Mixed Team Relays take to the course, with world titles for elite, jr-u23 and age-group on the line, as well as Olympic qualification slots for two men and two women for the elite world champions in mixed relay.
In the heart of Old Montreal, Canada, 1,500 international amateur athletes as well as the world’s elite competed for the title of world champion.
In the elite women’s race at the WTCS Montreal weekend, Georgia Taylor-Brown (GBR) secured the win and extended her lead at the top of the Maurice Lacroix Series Rankings to over 1,000 points.
In the men’s race it was Alex Yee (GBR) who took the top spot of the podium, pulling clear from Hayden Wilde (NZE) as the blue carpet came into view.
Team France once again lived up to their billing as triathlon’s Mixed Relay masters with another world title win, this time on the streets of Montreal.
