Red Equipment has become the latest brand to confirm attendance at the Outdoor Swimmer Henley Swim Festival on Sunday 10th July – with plans to elevate the experience for swimmers by inviting paddleboards into the festival for the first time.
Red will be hosting a SUP demo and coaching area on the river with a dedicated roped off strip alongside the swimmers.
Alongside SUPs, clothing, and equipment for the outdoors, Red Equipment claims to offer ‘the ultimate changing robe’. The company will be profiling its range at the swimming festival through a Changing Area takeover. The original changing area offered by Henley Swim will be upgraded to feature mirrors, drinks, and a rack of changing robes to try.
Ross Montandon, Marketing Executive at Red Equipment, said “With the growth in open water swimming over recent years, interest in paddleboarding has also grown; this event provides the perfect opportunity to showcase the different boards available and share top tips for enjoying the pastime.”
He continued “The changing robe market is highly competitive – we hope our products will stay with swimmers when they consider a purchase. We love to meet people, there is nothing like taking part in an event, especially one that celebrates wellbeing, mindfulness and outdoor swimming for all levels.”
Yvonne Turner, Partnership Manager for the Henley Swim Festival, added “We love welcoming brands that offer more than a brand check, but an activation that adds value and engagement with our swimmers and spectators. It’s a perfect fit offering another activity (SUPs) and we love that the changing area will have a make-over.”
The Outdoor Swimmer Henley Swim Festival offers multiple distances during the day including a 200m splash (parents can swim for free with children), Zoggs half mile, one mile and 4-mile challenge.
With camping the night before, live music, food and an event village full of retailers, the Outdoor Swimmer Henley Swim Festival offers a range of experiences, set by the Thames near London. The organising team add that, ‘the large event village and acres of space also allow it to be a covid safe environment.’
