Selle Italia is again on-board with the Maratona dles Dolomites-Enel. For the past 33 years, the Treviso, Italy-based saddle company has supported the cycling race, which takes place in the heart of the Dolomites on the first Sunday in July and crosses several passes in the Dolomites.
Selle Italia will once again be present at this year’s event, which will be staged on Sunday, July 3 with the start and finish in Alta Badia. A unique and coveted long distance cycling race, the Maratona dles Dolomites-Enel, this year in its 35th edition, will see thousands of cyclists take on seven of the Dolomites’ iconic passes.
Routes range from the ‘easier’ Campolongo to the more challenging Sella, Gardena, Pordoi, Giau, Falzarego and Valparola passes. These climbs are the key features of the event’s three 55km, 106km and 138km routes.
Selle Italia President, Giuseppe Bigolin, said “Our history with the Marathon started two years after its inception; and since then, we have always supported it because we share the same values and passion for cycling.
“It is a partnership that has now lasted thirty-three years and every year gives us the opportunity to meet a whole host of amateur riders from all over the world.”
