UAE-based virtual cycling app MyWhoosh has geared up to expand into the European market, starting with a series of activities at leading international cycling trade show, Eurobike, on July 13-17, 2022.
Launched in 2019, MyWhoosh reports that its user base has more than doubled since January 2022 with demand for the free-to-use virtual cycling app reportedly gaining traction among European cycling and fitness enthusiasts.
“There is no better place than Eurobike to share our UAE-born platform with the European cycling community,” said MyWhoosh Founder and CEO Akhtar Hashmi.
“Our team of global cycling and tech experts have been hard at work building a real-world experience that we are confident will become the most widely-used virtual cycling app globally, and we are thrilled to be showcasing our progress with an inspired community at Eurobike.”
MyWhoosh sponsors UAE Team Emirates and UAE Team ADQ, the first women’s pro-cycling UCI World Tour team from the UAE.
It currently has a free-to-use model, and makes races, workouts and social rides available to users via Android, iOS, and Windows. It believes the growth of virtual cycling and fitness will only continue to accelerate.
“Making indoor fitness competitive, connected, and as fun as possible is more important than ever, and we do exactly that at Mywhoosh,” continued Akhtar Hashmi.
