The Velon Fantasy cycling game is back for 2022, after a first season run by Velon and FanHub in 2021.

The 2022 Fantasy season starts at the UAE Tour from February 20-26 and runs right through to Il Lombardia in October, taking in cycling’s Grand Tours, Monuments and many more of the biggest races along the way.
The teams for the UAE Tour haven’t been announced as yet. So, fantasy game players will have to wait a few days to pick their fantasy line-up.
Players will be able to pick eight riders from Friday, February 18, as soon as all the teams at the UAE Tour have announced their line-ups.
Cycling fans can select two riders (class A & B) for each of the following four rider types:
- Road Code Leader (contenders for overall race victory)
- Sprinters
- Climbers
- All Rounders
Fans can also select 2 x Road Captain (One Day Race) and 1 x Road Captain (Stage Race)
Velon is owned by 10 WorldTour teams: BORA-hansgrohe, Deceuninck – Quick-Step Team, EF Education – NIPPO, INEOS Grenadiers, Intermarché Wanty Gobert Matériaux, Lotto Soudal, Team DSM, Team Jumbo-Visma, Trek-Segafredo, UAE Team Emirates.
