Leading obstacle course race (OCR) event brand Spartan opened the 2022 Spartan European season in Mallorca, Spain, on 2-3 April 2022.

The event weekend offered different race formats for all athletes.
SPRINT – 5k, 20 obstacles. The first step of the Spartan journey, for those who want to approach an OCR for the first time. Some returning Spartans also focus on this race format for its challenges of speed and obstacle intensity over a shorter distance.
SUPER – 10k, 20 obstacles. Trail running meets obstacles, with a course set in a military and scenic location. Due to the technical terrain it is also recognised as a MAX event, i.e. harder than the others. The Spartan Mallorca SUPER was part of the 2022 Spain National Series for Elite and Age Group categories.
KIDS – positiond as a fun and safe obstacle course experience for children aged 4-14. Younger children can gain confidence while running, jumping, climbing and crawling. Older kids can increase the challenge, and also compete in timed heats against others.
