Together with Marathongruppen (organiser of adidas Stockholm Marathon and other running events), World’s Sports Group (WSG) will be an official conference partner for European Running Business Conference (ERBC) 2022.
The run industry conference takes place on September 15-17 2022 in Stockholm, Sweden.
ERBC is a biennial event arranged by European Athletics, which is one of six area associations of World Athletics, the sport’s global governing body, which has 51 members and is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The conference attracts delegates from all over the world with an emphasis on European organisers and sports federations. ERBC started in 2017 and is targeted to take place every second year. The latest edition was held in Prague in 2019 and hosted 350 participants.
ERBC 2022 is organised in connection with the RAMBOLL Stockholm Half Marathon, 15,000 participants and 80 nationalities represented.
A release from WSG noted… ‘The ERBC is a prestigious occasion and one of the largest and most influential events in the world of running. The conference attracts delegates from all over the world, predominantly European organisers of mass participation events and sports federations, who gather to discuss the future of the sport.
‘Also, during the conference, the prize ‘European Race of the Year”’ will be awarded. This year’s event will focus on sustainability and how the industry can attract younger generations to running.’
