Embracing instalments: njuko integrates clearpay for higher value events

Event registration platform njuko has integrated with instalment payment provider clearpay, part of the international afterpay brand. The new integration allows event entrants to pay in four interest-free instalments over a six week period.

This new integration is primarily suggested for events with higher value tickets where the entrant is required to place a deposit at the time of booking before completing the instalment plan over the corresponding weeks. The event organiser receives 100% of the entry fee up front whilst the credit relationship is handled by clearpay.

Matt Trevett, from njuko said “We chose to integrate with clearpay because we believe their model is the most transparent on the market and best suited to the events industry.

“We fully support offering affordable payment plans for entrants, but, by asking for the deposit at the time of booking, clearpay allows you to know the entrant is both financially more able to afford the later instalments as well as commit to taking part in your event through that initial payment.

“We also allow the event organiser to explain the clearpay terms clearly and in their own way at point of entry so that entrants can be made aware of the recent changes that can impact credit scores if payments are not kept up.

“It is important in this time of new payment methods that event organisers are open and informative, especially to the younger demographic.”

The integration has been launched with njuko’s first ever UK client, Nuclear Races, which hosts higher value obstacle events at the ‘Secret Nuclear Bunker’ near Brentwood, Essex. A release from njuko added that clearpay can be rolled out to other clients who get in touch.
