The AbbottWMM Global Run Club has launched a virtual six-race half marathon series – The Road to the Majors. This aims to give runners on their Six Star journey additional chances to enter draws for the Abbott World Marathon Majors they still need to accomplish.
For each virtual 13.1-mile race club members complete in one activity, regardless of finishing time, they will earn an additional entry into the Majors draw for which they are eligible. Runners who complete more than one race can choose to put all draw places into one Major or spread them out if they are eligible for multiple draws.
Dawna Stone, CEO of Abbott World Marathon Majors said “We are delighted to launch this new virtual race series to give our global community of runners an additional opportunity to complete their Six Star journey.
“We know our annual race draws are extremely popular, and the half marathon series is something our Global Run Club members have been asking for. By combining both elements, we give our runners an extra chance for success in the Majors draws and a race series to train for and enjoy.”
