Italian apparel specialist Alé is a partner of BEKING. The cycling event, now in its third year, will be held in Port Hercule in the Principality of Monaco on Sunday, November 26, 2023.
The event, created in collaboration with current elite cyclists as well as former pros, is intended as a day of celebration… ‘bringing together champions and amateurs, with races, family activities and conferences; all with a charitable purpose.’
An expo village, a children’s area to showcase the rudiments of cycling and road safety, and a central area with an awards stage and music will welcome visitors and fans. The main event to watch is the criterium race, where top athletes from some of the most important teams of the World Tour circuit are expected to take part, including Groupama FDJ, Bahrain-Victorious and Jayco-Alula, of which Alé is a 2023 jersey partner.
BEKING brings together professionals, former cycling champions and amateurs in a unique and spectacular mixed team competition, the Pro-Am race. Those who register will have the chance to ride and race side by side with elite cyclists of today and also of yesterday, such as Nico Roche and Sonny Colbrelli, among others. The proceeds from registrations will be donated to charity.
For the amateurs in the race, Alé has created a jersey in both adult and children’s versions for the BEKING event. It is a garment from Alé’s PR-R line, which is usually for professional teams. For BEKING, Alé adds that it has designed… ‘a distinctive and particular graphic: it takes up the colours of the event, and on the sleeves it shows the mascot of Beking, the funny sloth Speedy.’
