Refresh in 2024 for La Stelvio Santini granfondo

Approaching its twelfth edition in 2024, the Granfondo Stelvio Santini is getting a fresh look, starting with a new name – with the event rebranded as La Stelvio Santini.

Held next year on June 2, 2024, the new naming of the popular granfondo also sees the event unveil a new, minimalistic logo. According to the event organising team, this is crafted to symbolize the terrain where the cycling event takes place on the first weekend of June.

‘This change marks a turning point for an amateur competition that has progressively become more modern and international over the years. The clean and recognizable design of the logo signifies a shift from the past, with the ‘L’ shape representing the turning point, while the double ‘S’ initials of Stelvio and Santini evoke the famous hairpin bends of the ascents that have shaped cycling history.’

“Throughout its history, the Granfondo Stelvio Santini has always evolved, adapting to the changes in cycling and its new rhythms,” said Paola Santini, Marketing Manager of Santini Cycling.

“The natural step for us was to give the event a new identity that best represents the transformation. With the new logo, La Stelvio Santini is ready to welcome a new generation of cyclists.”

Organised by US Bormiese and sponsored by Santini, the event is based in Alta Valtellina – running from Bormio to Passo dello Stelvio (province of Sondrio):

  • Long route: Bormio – Teglio – Mortirolo – Bormio – Stelvio > 160 km (4.450 m elevation gain)
  • Medium route: Bormio – Teglio – Bormio – Stelvio > 137 km (3.110 m elevation gain)
  • Short route: Bormio – Sondalo – Bormio – Stelvio > 60 km (1.950 m elevation gain)
