COROS Wearables has announced that its arm-worn Heart Rate Monitor has been recognized as a TIME Best Invention for 2023.

Of the new list of products recognised by TIME in 2023, TIME’s editors noted “The result is a list of 200 ground-breaking inventions (and 50 special mention inventions) – including the world’s most powerful supercomputer, a game-changing entertainment venue, and a new shape – that are changing how we live, work, play, and think about what’s possible.”
The COROS HR Monitor is presented as a ‘superior alternative to the traditional chest strap’. A fully elasticated armband and sliding buckle optimise fit offer a claimed higher HR accuracy reading by removing interference from external light sources, as well as maximising comfort and convenience.
The HR Monitor uses COROS’ latest generation multi-channel optical sensor and has 5 LED lights with four photodetectors for accuracy. Built-in wear detection allows the HR Monitor to automatically power on and off based on when it is worn, enabling the user to enter an activity seamlessly and broadcast HR to up to three other Bluetooth Enabled Devices simultaneously.
The COROS Heart Rate Monitor launched on July 27, 2023 in the US at an RRP of US$79 and CNY 599 in China via the COROS Website, Amazon USA, and authorised distributors and retailers. For customers and partners based outside of the US & China, a launch date was scheduled for mid-September 2023.
