The Giro-E 2023, the fifth edition of which takes place on May 6-28, for a total of 20 stages, has confirmed Enel X Way as its new title sponsor.
Billed as the only international multi-stage event for electrically assisted bicycles, the Giro-E is organised by RCS Sport and sits alongside other events such as: the Giro d’italia, Strade Bianche, Milano – Sanremo, etc.
Enel X Way is a company of the Enel Group dedicated to electric mobility. It has reportedly installed more than 18,000 charging points for electric vehicles in Italy, representing the largest charging network in the country.
Given Enel Group’s association with the Giro d’Italia, its electric mobility operation is seen as an ideal partner for the Giro-E. With its showcasing of ‘pedal-assisted racing bikes with an electric heart’, the Giro-E is the world’s only VIP e-bike experience mirroring the Giro d’Italia as a Grand Tour type experience.
Enel X Way will also sponsor the Maglia Blu, the jersey worn by the Giro-E general classification leader.
