The final candidates have been invited to the last stage of the Red Bull Junior Brothers pro-cycling scouting program.
The final stage runs from August 28 to September 1 and will see over a dozen riders put through their paces at the Red Bull Athlete Performance Centre (APC) in Thalgau, Austria. The finalists aged 16-17-years-old are aiming to take home a coveted place on the BORA-hansgrohe U19 Team Auto Eder, plus a Red Bull athlete contract. The two winners will officially be announced in September.
Riders have been selected from around the world, as the Red Bull Junior Brothers program aims to find the future star athletes of road cycling. Riders in the final stage hail from: the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Ireland, Hungary and Slovenia.
The young riders will be tested physically and mentally during their week at the Red Bull APC, both in lab tests, group rides and in-person interviews with team managers, including Christian Schrot the Head of Scouting at BORA-hansgrohe and Sport Director & Coach at Team Auto Eder, who will be coordinating the camp.
Christian Schrot said “We’re at an incredibly exciting stage in the Red Bull Junior Brothers process as we get closer to selecting the final two riders who will be joining Team Auto Eder. We’re looking forward to seeing what the riders can bring and how they push themselves.”
