Hungary’s Zsanett Bragmayer and South Africa’s Henri Schoeman secured victories at Arena Games Triathlon powered by Zwift in Sursee, Switzerland.

Held on March 12, the virtual-meets-real-world triathlon took place at Campus Sursee Sportarena, in Switzerland.

28-year-old Bragmayer won each of the three stages to produce a statement win ahead of the Arena Games final in London on April 8th. She beat Britain’s Olivia Mathias and fellow Hungarian Fanni Szalai into second and third place, respectively. Although a stunning performance by the young (15-year-old) Szalai stole the spotlight.

The men’s event saw South Africa’s Olympic and Commonwealth Games medallist Henri Schoeman continuing his return to racing after three years of injury and illness. The 31-year-old, who finished second at the Arena Games Triathlon Montreal leg in February, took control on the second of the day’s three stages, beating a stacked field of Super League stars in the process and laying down a major marker ahead of the Arena Games finale in London.

The Arena Games 2023 series continues in London, England, on April 8.
