Tough Mudder UK has celebrated over 100,000 participants in its 2023 race season. The obstacle racing event specialist confirmed that 101,276 individuals in the UK took on 2,188,297 obstacles in total this year.
Over 1 million kilometres were undertaken collectively (1,062,972km). In the UK, a standout event of the season was the sell-out London South event which saw an impressive 15,000 participants getting together in September.
Tough Mudder UK added that it owes a lot to its loyal participants that keep coming back. 16 people took part in their 100th Tough Mudder event this year and were crowned with a golden headband and an induction into the Tough Mudder Hall of Fame.
While many staggered over the finish line, five participants went down on one knee on purpose and officially asked their other halves to marry them. Thankfully all said ‘yes’.
