QuickNav from Ride with GPS offers one-step navigation feature

Ride with GPS has rolled out a new way to get from point A to point B with its new QuickNav feature, which aims to redefine everyday cycling navigation.

From quick trips to the grocery store to the daily commute, users can simply plug a destination into the Search bar or long-press anywhere on the in-app map. QuickNav then automatically generates a route to the endpoint including estimated time to the destination.

“Ride with GPS has always been there to support your epic adventures – with QuickNav, we’re bringing that experience to your everyday rides,” said Zack Ham, co-founder Ride with GPS.

A release from Ride with GPS notes that… ‘Should you stray off course, QuickNav automatically updates your routing in real time based on your current position. Change your plans? Simply tap the Search icon or long-press anywhere to update your destination. Your route and estimated trip time will auto-adjust accordingly.

‘As with your destination, QuickNav also makes getting home easier than ever. No matter where you are, simply tap the Search bar, select your Home location and QuickNav will automatically generate a bike-friendly beeline home. Because the routing mode is optimized for safety, QuickNav will always select the most bike-friendly route to your destination.’

Kevin Prentice, Revenue Operations Director at Ride with GPS, added “I’m particularly excited to offer our signature navigation without the need to pre-plan a route. QuickNav is a key component to supporting our members where it matters most – on the bike.”

Quick-trip navigation is seen as foundational to cycle-transportation and commuting by bike. With this in mind, Ride with GPS is offering QuickNav free for a limited time to all users, regardless of subscription level within the mobile app, version 3.4.2 (iOS) and 3.4.3 (Android).
