Event registration and fundraising platform RaceNation has integrated with Klarna, the post-purchase payment tool. The aim is to support events, participants and organisers continue to sign up through uncertain times – amidst an ongoing cost of living crisis in the UK.
RaceNation cites an industry wide problem that participants are more reluctant to release money a long way out from race day, causing a strain on event cash flow and uncertainty over entry numbers.
Using Klarna, a new integrated feature from RaceNation allows customers to pay in instalments for event tickets and merchandise. This can help event organisers to maintain cash flow and plan their events with more assurance of participant numbers.
Overseeing 2000+ events across the UK, RaceNation’s new integrated feature will be available to event organisers… ‘at a highly competitive rate while still receiving payment in full from RaceNation.’
The feature enables a ‘by now pay later’ option through checkout, allowing participants throughout the 2023 race season to pay in instalments.
Will Golder, CEO of RaceNation said “Having a cost-of-living crisis off the back of Covid has put huge economical pressure on the mass participation industry. Since the start of the pandemic we promised to do everything we could to help and support events that continue to be the lifeblood of the industry.”
He continued, “By bringing in a small change like Klana post-purchase payments we hope to secure the 2023 race calendar by removing worry and strain from entrants and help bring more security and enjoyment to race day.”
