SweetSpot Group, organiser of the Tour of Britain and Women’s Tour professional races, has been appointed as the road race delivery partner for the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships.
Drawing together multiple cycling disciplines, the UCI Cycling World Championships is being held in Glasgow and across Scotland from August 3-13, 2023.
As the event planning and delivery partner for the road race competitions, including the Mixed Team Time Trial event, SweetSpot will be responsible for the delivery of the remote starts in Edinburgh and Loch Lomond, the routes into Glasgow, and the competitive management of the road race field of play during the inaugural UCI Cycling World Championships.
SweetSpot was awarded the delivery contract by the LOC following a competitive tender, having delivered 185 days of road race events on the UCI road race calendar in the UK, including the annual Tour of Britain and Women’s Tour races.

The 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships will create cycling history by combining 13 existing UCI World Championships into one event across 11 days of competition for the first time.
