Hytro, the blood flow restriction (BFR) sports specialist, has continued to expand its team. Following recent announcements of funding and backing from professional athletes such as Sam Warburton, Hytro has now announced the appointment of Tom Atkinson as Head of Pro Sports.
Tom Atkinson has operated in the sport industry for 15 years with the likes of Gymbox, Third Space and pH Nutrition. According to Hytro… ‘His experience has seen him become an expert in both the procurement of innovative and effective products in professional sport while building an enviable skill set within business development that spans across various global territories, boasting an expansive network of relationships from world leading professional sports and commercial facilities.’
Atkinson will be responsible for delivering the first BFR wearable, designed specifically to improve sports performance to a growing list of professional clubs and teams.
Aimed at accelerating recovery and improving muscle development and endurance through blood flow restriction, Hytro is currently being used by over half of the UK’s premier league football and premiership rugby clubs. The brand also supports international teams across F1, UFC, cycling and cricket.
Tom Atkinson, new Head of Pro Sport at Hytro, said “I couldn’t be more thrilled with the opportunity to help bring Hytro to more teams and practitioners around the world.
“Working alongside such a passionate and dedicated team who all live and breathe the product gives me huge enthusiasm to introduce enhanced athletic performance and recovery to professional athletes.”
Raj Thiruchelvarajah, CEO and Co-Founder of Hytro, added “Having Tom bring his vast experience across professional sport and commercial facilities is a great move for us. As we continue our rapid growth, we’re excited to have him onboard to expand the Hytro brand by bringing education on BFR to even more professional teams.”
