International governing body World Triathlon has confirmed that ASICS has extended its commitment to help promote the sport of triathlon.
“We are beyond excited to renew our partnership with ASICS, one that has proven to be a great success for both organizations,” said World Triathlon President and IOC member, Marisol Casado.
“For us it is key to have partners that not only support our sport, but also invest in the future of triathlon and our athletes. Partnering with a leading company like ASICS will allow us to expand our reach, and will bring a bright future for our sport, with both of us committed always with universality and diversity and further developing triathlon and younger athletes.”
The World Triathlon Team, the selected development squad of athletes from those national federations with limited resources available will once again benefit from the support of the sportswear giant.
New for this extended partnership agreement is the inclusion of all continental confederation development programs. This will enhance the development pathway allowing World Triathlon to support triathlon’s global emerging talent who have Paris 2024 and LA2028 ambitions.
The renewed partnership will also provide World Triathlon, its continental confederations, national federations and local organising committees with access to ASICS’ application and technology platforms for the first time.
‘The move to the ASICS application and technology platforms will streamline the pre-race processes for triathletes and provide a central hub for information and results, creating a more efficient environment and database that will ultimately provide a better experience and transfer of knowledge at triathlon events around the world.’

In addition, the new partnership sees ASICS continue to provide uniforms for World Triathlon Technical Officials, staff and the Executive Board alongside continental federation staff. The company also becomes a partner of the World Triathlon Grand Final and Para World Championships.
