On July 1, 2024, the US states of California, Maryland and New York enacted laws mandating that advertised event prices include processing fees. The goal is to offer maximum transparency for event participants without hidden fees or surprises.
Event registration platform RunSignUp has developed technology to support races in the three US states.
As a user of RunSignUp for its event registration, Cal Tri Events points out that it has long been an advocate for this level of price transparency for race registration. The event organiser also requested the same capability from RunSignUp for the other 47 US states.
RunSignUp has now put that capability in place and Cal Tri Events has implemented event fee transparency for its entire series across the USA.
