Josh Tarling has become the first INEOS Grenadiers athlete to ride Classified‘s pioneering Powershift hub technology to victory, at the British National Time Trial Championships.
The 20-year old’s Pinarello Bolide bike was fitted with Classified’s Powershift Hub as he powered around the undulating 30km course in Catterick, North Yorkshire, in a time of 39 minutes and 21.50 seconds to take his victory by a one minute and 13-second winning margin.
Classified Cycling’s Powershift technology is a wireless shifting platform that allows a rider to shift gears ‘instantly and under full load’. Its Powershift hub replaces the front derailleur with a shifting hub that contains a two-gear system.
Josh Tarling’s latest triumph comes on the back of Classified’s successful debut at the Giro d’Italia in May, when Filippo Ganna (2nd), Magnus Sheffield (3rd) and Thymen Arensman (4th) all achieved top-five finishes during the stage seven time trial.
