IRONMAN, together with TriDot, its official training platform, has announced that three-time IRONMAN World Champion, Craig ‘Crowie’ Alexander, is joining the IRONMAN U team as a Master Coach.
In a release, IRONMAN noted that… ‘IRONMAN U Master Coaches have served a fundamental role in collaboration with IRONMAN in the development of educational content for coaches specific to training athletes for long distance triathlons.’
“IRONMAN U provides vital continuing education to devoted triathlon coaches around the globe. I’m thrilled to be named an IRONMAN U Master Coach and look forward to providing ongoing educational support to coaches and athletes in the triathlon community,” said Craig Alexander.
“It’s an honour to contribute to the program that’s recognized as the gold standard of coaching certification in triathlon. Triathletes looking to take their skills to the next level can have confidence in hiring an IRONMAN U certified coach.”
In addition to his IRONMAN world titles, Craig Alexander is also a two-time IRONMAN 70.3 World Champion (2006, 2011), a former Kona course best holder, and 12-time Australian national crown winner. During his 25 years as a professional, Crowie logged more than 100 victories.
As one of the most accomplished athletes in the sport, today Alexander shares his expertise with the members of the Sansego Triathlon Club, which he founded in 2014. Over the past decade Sansego Tri Club has guided more than 7,600 athletes.
Marieka Barnard, Chief Marketing Officer for The IRONMAN Group, said “Crowie offers athletes and coaches an incredibly unique perspective.
“Being a multi-time winner of both the IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships and having launched an esteemed triathlon club and coaching business, he provides the level of insight and expertise we seek in IRONMAN U Master Coaches.”
Jeff Booher, Founder and CEO of TriDot, added “It’s an incredible honour to have Crowie join the IRONMAN U Master Coach Team. His legacy and extensive experience in IRONMAN racing, along with his passion for the triathlon community, embody the traits of the ideal IRONMAN U Master Coach.”
IRONMAN U is an online education and certification platform that offers instruction for coaches specifically catering to the needs of IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 athletes. It features a coaching certification course led by an elite team of Master Coaches, an international coach community and a Coach Finder tool.

IRONMAN U has recently released a freshly updated IRONMAN U Certification Course in collaboration with and hosted by TriDot, the Official Training Platform of IRONMAN. This is a project Craig Alexander and fellow IRONMAN U Master Coaches Mark Allen and Michellie Jones have played a key role in developing.
“The legendary performances Crowie delivered over his 25-year career are a testament to the winner he is both in triathlon and life,” said six-time IRONMAN World Champion, IRONMAN Hall of Famer, and IRONMAN U Master Coach Mark Allen.
“His image and reputation as a competitor, coach, and ambassador of the sport will provide unmatched value to the IRONMAN U program.”
