Cyclists’ travel resource, Epic Road Rides, has announced a collaboration with the Nice Côte d’Azur Tourist Board to promote the region as a premier destination for cycling enthusiasts.
Leveraging this year’s new finish of the Tour de France in Nice, the collaboration aims to elevate the visibility of Nice and the Côte d’Azur across the global cycling community.
For the first time in its history, the Tour de France will culminate outside of Paris, with Nice playing host to the final stages of the race as well as the grand finale. With the eyes of millions of cycling fans around the world on southern France (rather than the Tour’s usual final destination of Paris), the local tourism board sees this as a unique opportunity to spotlight Nice and the surrounding Côte d’Azur region as a premier destination for cyclists.
“Collaborating with Nice Côte d’Azur Tourist Board has been brilliant,” said Clare Dewey, Founder of Epic Road Rides.
“We’ve used the spotlight of the Tour de France to enhance the region’s visibility as a top cycling destination and help build a legacy of cycling tourism after the Tour’s visit in 2024. Epic Road Rides worked with the tourist board to create informative and inspiring content to showcase Nice and the Côte d’Azur’s fantastic cycling and encourage cyclists to visit, whether for the Tour de France or afterwards.
“The result is that we are driving engaged interest in the region via a valuable, evergreen resource that will encourage cycling tourism now and in future.”
Epic Road Rides has developed resources tailored for cyclists of all levels. Its online guide includes detailed routes in Nice, travel advice, and information on local attractions and cultural sites.
This partnership aims to drive sustained interest in Nice as a cycling destination beyond the Tour de France 2024. By creating engaging, evergreen content, Epic Road Rides and the Nice Côte d’Azur Tourist Board add that they are committed to fostering a robust cycling tourism industry in the region.
