Now in its 11th year, Etape Loch Ness 2025, billed as ‘Scotland’s largest closed-road cycle sportive’, will officially open priority entry on October 29, at 10:00 GMT, offering cycling enthusiasts an exclusive 48-hour window to secure their spot.
With a cap of 6,000 riders and a history of selling out within 48 hours, those interested are encouraged to register for priority access. Next year’s event takes place on April 27, 2025.
Organised by Caledonian Concepts and taking place amidst the backdrop of the world-famous Loch Ness, the event features closed roads amidst the Scottish Highlands.
The event has raised over £2.18 million for Macmillan Cancer Support over the past decade, making it their most successful cycling event. Macmillan has guaranteed places for cyclists who commit to raising funds, giving participants the chance to ride with purpose.

Cyclists can tackle a 66-mile route around Loch Ness, benefitting from full road closures. The course includes an elevation of 900m. As riders leave Fort Augustus, there is a King of the Mountain section, a 4.8 mile climb gaining 380m in height and at times with a gradient reaching 12%.
