Bike New York (BNY), a not-for-profit organisation serving New York communities, has announced a partnership with registration provider and technology platform, Let’s Do This (LDT).
The partnership will aim streamline registration technology for BNY’s annual calendar of events, including the TD Five Boro Bike Tour (billed as the largest charitable bike ride in the world), while also helping the organisation’s mission of promoting cycling as a sustainable and healthy means of transportation.
Bike New York is a leading non-profit for bike safety and education in New York City. It notes that its programming, advocacy work, and community events are helping to create a healthy, vibrant, and sustainable city, and has been doing so for nearly 50 years.
Held in May each year, with more than 32,000 cyclists, the TD Five Boro Bike Tour brings together cycling enthusiasts from all over the world to enjoy 40 miles of traffic-free streets in New York City.
Bike New York has a variety of programs and services – from beginner learn to ride classes, to bike mechanic job training and placement through its Bike Path workforce development program.
BNY provides opportunities for thousands of New Yorkers to learn each year. It also oversees bike and helmet donations, operates a community bike shop with Recycle-A-Bicycle, and hosts large-scale events such as the TD Five Boro Bike Tour and smaller local and regional rides.
Via its tie-in with Let’s Do This, Bike New York will aim to streamline admin, find new participants and increase revenue.
