The Leadville Race Series team has notified hopefuls via email this week, as to whether they will be taking on the 100-mile ‘Race Across the Sky’ in Colorado. Organised by Life Time, this year’s Leadville Trail 100 MTB race will take place on August 10th, with the Leadville Trail 100 Run set for August 17th.
If unsuccessful in the lottery process, any riders or runners who still wish to try and participate this year have a few remaining options:
- Leadville Trail 100 MTB / Run Training Camp – Led by expert coaches, the Leadville Trail 100 MTB and Run Camps give athletes a guaranteed spot in the sold-out races.
- Qualifier events – The Leadville Race Series qualifier events provide a chance for riders to earn a coin for the LT100 MTB and/or LT100 Run. Qualifier registration opened on January 9th for MTB qualifier events and Run qualifier events.
- Charity slots – Athletes can guarantee a race entry by registering with a charity. Competing on behalf of one of the official charity partners provides athletes with a spot in their chosen race and also provides an opportunity to make an impact in the community.
- Coaching + Entry packages – A limited number of Coaching + Entry packages are available through the Leadville Race Series official coaching partner, Boundless Coaching.
- Volunteer for any Leadville Race Series event (in Leadville) or have someone volunteer on an athlete’s behalf, to earn preference in the lottery in the next year.
- Life Time Member Early Access – Life Time members who have held a digital or in-club membership for at least six months before the lottery (May 24, 2023) are eligible for guaranteed entry into the LT100 MTB & LT100 Run events.
