Taking place on June 2, 2024, Challenge Gunsan-Saemangeum will host the Challenge Family Asia-Pacific Championships over 226km with an international field of professional athletes and over 1,000 age group athletes in attendance.
The course includes the world’s longest seawall with its unique environment and scenery. The Asia Pacific Championship edition in 2024 will see qualification slots for The Championship doubled from the top six to top 12 in each age group and also the professional prize purse increased to US$43,000.
Top contenders in the men’s field include Challenge Taiwan champion, Jack Moody (NZL), who is closely pitted against Portugal’s Filipe Azevedo and Jesper Svensson (SWE).
In the women’s race, Marlene de Boer (NED) will be up against Regan Hollioake (AUS), and New Zealand’s Kate Bevilaqua.
