Quintana Roo’s new V-PRi triathlon bike is the latest generation of the V-PR; and according to the Chattanooga, Tennessee-based company… ‘it’s more than a simple refinement.’
With prototype testing input from pro athletes, the V-PRi has leveraged aerodynamic improvements via deeper aero cross sections. It includes Quintana Roo’s first fully integrated cockpit, internal hydration and internal nutrition storage.
The company adds that the new bike… ‘exhibits category-leading weight savings and maintains a high level of packability for traveling triathletes. In short, the V-PRi is the finest high-performance triathlon bike in the world.’

V-PRi’s new FuelBay storage allows athletes to carry both nutrition and hydration inside the frame, without compromising the frame’s aerodynamic lines with exterior bags and bottles. FuelBay hydration can also be refilled on the fly, and FuelBay nutrition storage allows six gels to be placed in the top tube.
The V-PRi frame and fork each feature deep aero cross sections throughout, including a cowling on the fork to shield the front disc brake calliper. The V- PRi frame maintains QR aerodynamic elements, including the LEA.2 Leading Edge Absent non-driveside chainstay, and Shift offset downtube that diverts airflow onto the cleaner non-driveside chainstay.
The new Intelligent Integration Cockpit (IIC) featured on the V-PRi transitions to the frame at the headtube, delivering a clean airflow from cockpit to frame. The IIC Cockpit has stack rise options from 30mm to 120mm above basebar in 5mm increments, with pad placement options and extension length and angle options, each aspect allowing for a precise fit adjustment.

QR also reported that wind tunnel testing at 24mph across a full yaw sweep from -15 to 15 degrees sees the V-PRi save an average of 6.2 watts compared to the V-PR predecessor.
Available as a complete bike, athletes ordering their bikes online can select between Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 components (with a Stages dual-sided power meter) or SRAM RED eTap AXS 1X components (with Quarq’s RED AXS power meter) and the option of either DT Swiss ARC 1100 DICUT (62mm/80mm) or Zipp Firecrest NSW 454/858 wheelsets. Both options feature watt-saving CeramicSpeed OSPW and bottom bracket upgrades.
The V-PRi is available in three sizes (Small, Medium & Large). Pricing starts at US$13,699, purchased at quintanarootri.com or through select QR retailers.
