RunThrough x givestar targeting £50m for charitable causes

UK-based events firm, RunThrough, has announced a new strategic partnership with fundraising platform givestar. The new collaboration aims to empower the RunThrough athlete community to raise an estimated £50 million for charitable causes over the next three years, providing participants with fundraising tools to maximise their impact.

givestar, founded in 2018 by Alex Coleridge and Tom Montague, is a UK-based ‘tech-for-good startup’. The platform’s Boost Donate (Tap to Pay) technology enables any smartphone to become a contactless donation device, increasing average donation values by a reported 50%.

RunThrough’s long-term vision is to expand its charitable impact. With over 285,000 participants across more than 270 events annually, the potential to generate significant funds for charities is signifacnt.

An integration of givestar’s fundraising technology with RunThrough events will offer participants the opportunity to create fundraising pages quickly and easily, enabling a new phase of charitable giving.
