Supertri has confirmed that free-to-use virtual cycling platform MyWhoosh is now its official partner for the next four years.
Replacing a previous partnership with Zwift, MyWhoosh becomes the presenting partner of the Supertri E World Triathlon Championship (formerly Arena Games), which is organised in collaboration with international governing body World Triathlon.
MyWhoosh has also made in-roads in the world of elite cycling esports, having tied up with the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) on the UCI Cycling Esports World Championships. In August 2023, the UCI announced that MyWhoosh would be the exclusive platform and organiser of the UCI Cycling Esports World Championships for the next three years (2024-2026).
MyWhoosh is also the UCI Road World Championships official virtual cycling training platform.
Working with Supertri to expand into virtual triathlon esports, MyWhoosh will help develop initiatives with the IOC Olympic Esports Week. It also becomes the official partner and virtual training partner of Supertri, Supertri League, Supertri E and mass participation events including the Chicago Triathlon and Long Beach Legacy Triathlon.
MyWhoosh is a free-to-use indoor training and racing platform used by World Tour UAE Team Emirates and its star rider Tadej Pogačar, three-time Tour de France champion. It is also used by seven-time Tour de France points classification winner Peter Sagan, and Women’s World Tour team UAE Team ADQ.
Available to the athletes of all levels, with over 730 workouts and 39 training plans, MyWhoosh aims to push riders to their limits through personalized and challenging indoor cycling experiences.
Supertri CEO and Co-Founder, Michael D’hulst, said “Supertri and MyWhoosh are known for innovation, entertainment and authenticity, breaking boundaries in all they do.
“Supertri has opened the sport to a whole new generation of fans and participants with its fast, technical and tactical racing featuring the world’s top athletes across Supertri League and Supertri E and its world class mass participation events featuring easy entry points to the sport.”
He continued, “MyWhoosh has been breaking down its boundaries with an incredible platform that also democratizes participation by being free-to-use. There are so many synergies between our brands and exciting developments to announce soon and I am delighted we are partnering on this journey.”
Akhtar Saeed Hashmi, CEO and Managing Director of MyWhoosh, said “At MyWhoosh, we have always followed the dream to build the indoor training platform that will be affordable to anyone who wants to explore the world of cycling and running from the comfort of their homes, to develop their skills for a better performance, or to enjoy the competition with weekly races and challenges.
“Now, we are excited to be a part of a bigger community and become partners with Supertri on this journey to grow the future of triathlon and bring the innovation to Supertri E. Our mission is to develop more interactive experiences that serve and unite the entire triathlon ecosystem, inspiring athletes of all levels to go beyond the limits and enjoy the thrill of competition.”
